This project is due to be commenced late August or early September 2011 and is carried out as our third development of affordable, sustainable homes for Cymdeithas Tai Eryri. This scheme involves the construction of eight, three bedroom houses constructed to Code Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Houses incorporating solar roof panels and is sited on waste ground off Recreation Road, in Pwllheli. The scheme also involves the construction of the roads infrastructure to local authority and water authority adoption standards. Full plans can be inspected at the Planning Department, Gwynedd Council.

This is a recently awarded contract which involves the refurbishment and conversion of an old disused chapel into a Community Centre. Funded by a Lottery Grant, the works are currently valued at £175,000 and involve the construction of a new extension, complete re-wiring, re-plumbing including a new underfloor heating system, floor coverings, repairs and renewals to guttering and drainage, refurbishment of existing windows, formation of new rooms, joinery, redecoration of the interior and repairs to stone faced cladding on the exterior

This is our second project on behalf of Cymdeithas Tai Eryri and is currently just over halfway completed. The scheme includes the construction of 12 new affordable and sustainable homes, 10 of which are 3 bedroomed and 2 of which are 4 bedroomed. Constructed to Code Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Houses, however the energy aspect of the design conforms to Level 4 through the introduction of Photo Voltaic panels in addition to solar roof panels to assist in the water heating process. The £1.4 million scheme was commenced in January 2011 and is due for completion and handover in January 2012.
